PROJECT: CHACO PARAGUAYO RELIEF (PROJECT: C.P.R.)

ENABLING INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME RESPONISIBLE CITIZENS OF A GLOBAL COMMUNITY.

Cervantes’ Don Quixote said: “Sanity may be madness but the maddest of all is to see life as it is and not as it should be.”  We, here at KEFALON, believe that to be true.  We do not have to accept life for what we see, but we should accept the challenge and fight to make it what it should be.

Our efforts are focused on improving health care services and education for children as well as adults.  We believe that the best way to help someone is to provide them with the tools they will need to help themselves, and with the hope to fuel their courage.

We hope to provide computers, books, and other supplies, as well as, to establish a volunteer teaching program.  This effort is not limited to the children.  We want to provide education for adults, not only in fundamentals of reading and writing, but also in responsible farming, agricultural and irrigation methods and techniques.

A healthy mind needs a healthy body, so we will help establish health care clinics and emergency medical services for the poor and those who have limited access to medical care.  The immediate goals are to provide emergency vehicles that may be used to access remote areas of the Chaco, and water trucks to assure clean, potable water.

In addition, through donations and volunteer service, we want to provide for disease immunization and vaccination, dental and eye examinations.  Our long-term goals are to establish satellite clinics that will provide a more permanent presence of medical aid in the Chaco region.

We are NOT a nonprofit organization, and are therefore restricted by U.S. tax law and regulations as to the percentage of our profits that may be donated.  By electing to be treated as a Sub-Chapter S Corporation, we can maximize the amount we can directly contribute to 50%.

We pledge that all funds contributed for PROJECT: C.P.R. will be used solely for the benefit of the poor and underprivileged of Paraguay and the promotion of our humanitarian efforts.  We thank you for your support.
